My oh my how time flies!

So here we are once again in Sweden. Its our annual big holiday, 2 weeks away from home. Due to being off sick last year we are unable to head stateside like we had planned. So we decided we would go to Sweden again!!

It appears, all my photos got deleted from my drop box hence the total lack of any images on my site so far.. OOPS...my bad

This year I will be trying to blog pretty much everyday or every other day, as well as holidaying I am also juggling my uni work which I started in January this year.

As per the norm for Mag and I when we are getting ready to go away, everything starts to go wrong. For us this started on the Wednesday before we set of (17th September) Mag had to work late due to going away, so after putting in a 12 hour day, calls me lets me know he is on his way home. Great I thought. We could then start to pack and sort out bits. About an hour and a bit later I get another phone call from Mag. I thought he was going to tell me he had picked something up for dinner. I was far far far from wrong. He was in fact calling me to tell me that he had just had a car accident........a muntjac deer decided to play chicken with mags car, and lost big time.

Yep a cute little deer decided to end its life, by getting wedged in the radiator of mags car. Fantastic timing little deer. We were supposed to be taking mags car to Sweden! Panic sets in, mag calls his dad and he collects mag and his car, towing it from just outside Borne all the way back to just outside Kings Lynn. Ugh nightmare. I don't hear anything back from mag until roughly 1am!!!! By this point I was already in bed as I had to be up at 5am the next day for my last day at work!

Neither of us knew at this point if the holiday was still going to go ahead, sad times.

The next morning I headed off to work, managed to get hold of mag on the way. He said he was OK, sore and rather shook up from everything. Apparently they found the deer, it was stuck in the grill of the car and had to be helped out. It was very dead at this point. I get to work and start to try and focus on my last day and getting the tasks finished. Pretty hard work considering I had no idea if I was going to get to go to Sweden or not. Mag texts me, says the car has about 2k worth of damage and that's before the cost of the bodywork is put on. OUCH....

Beryl and Dick (mags parents) has been fantastic and a real help. They managed to rescue everything for us. Mag has been put on to his dads VW insurance, so he gets to drive a newer sporty car for 2 weeks, and we got to go on holiday!!

Now the bad luck did not just hit mag, Oh no. Remember it comes in 3s!! I had a random text appear on my phone whilst at work. Something along the lines of

Your card has been declined for a payment of £353 for an on line payment. If you did not make this please type No, if you did please type Yes. Now I just replied No right away, without  even thinking. Then part of me was like Oh crap what if this text if a fraud. So I called the bank, got put through to the Fraud department and low and behold yes my card had in fact been cloned. :(

They used it at Kwik Fit of all places, so the card was cancelled and I was about to go on holiday without a debit card. Which is OK, I had already got my cash but its not fantastic. I have no back up or anything now. So that was the 2nd thing.. time for the third

In the process of sorting out mag and his card, Beryl managed to accidentally left her car keys in the boot of her Merc and the car locked. Yes that's right she was locked out of her own car!!!!

All this happened in the space of 24 hours. We have now been in Sweden for 2 days (arrived on the Saturday 20th)

I will blog about the journey here in a different update :)
