We were looking forward to this as the previous night we enjoyed their dinner buffet, but we both forgot to take photos! Maybe we will get some on the way home!
Once we were ready we headed up to the restaurant, where a waiter showed us to our own private table in a special VIP dining area. We laughed at the way they had roped off half the tables for the VIPS!! We had no idea until we were seated that we were VIPS!
I had tea and mag had some coffee which he said was rather good. Mine was just simple tea nothing fancy!
To start breakfast off we were asked if we wanted eggs and bacon, I said just bacon no eggs. I hate eggs! The waited looked a little confused!
When the food was brought out we were both shocked as to what was on there, 2 slices of toast, amazing crispy danish bacon (I bet your singing the song now) some mini kovrs (mini sausages) and lettuce. Yes that's right lettuce. I enjoyed mine lettuce where as mag took a massive amount of convincing just to eat a tiny bit of it. In his words "breakfast is not the time for lettuce!"
Mags WTF face....
We then went back to the cabin where we chilled out watching of all things on the laptop Sabrina the teenage witch! Until we docked in Denmark at 13:00 danish time, we disembarked quickly as we had priority parking (that VIP thing we had no idea about) and were some of the first off the ship! We then navigated our way through Esbjerg to the E20 we then followed it until we got to just outside kopenhagen. Where had to cross several massive scary huge horrible dangerous bridges (Vikx is not a massive fan of road bridges, so those are her words!)
We then took the E4 up to Helsingor where we arrived much earlier than anticipated. 2 hours to early! But we were lucky and managed to get the ferry early! Below is us waiting to be let through!
Snooty and Mini Moo waiting patiently for us to be let on the ferry.
Snooty and Mini Moo relaxing on the ferry. We left them in charge of the car while we had a look around duty free.
And here we are in Sweden! Snooty and Mini Moo happy to be finally in Sweden. Only another 3 hours till we reach where we are staying!
On the way the weather looked a bit miserable, we both thought it was going to rain at some point but he held off.
In total we did about 6 hours driving yesterday, I say we but I really mean Mag. I mostly slept or looked out the window. Not much you can really do when your a passenger. I did have the important task of returning the radio!
The drive was fairly uneventful, the sat nav wanted to take us off road and in to some woods at one point, but we ignored it and kept on the main road!
We found a supermarket which was still open (everything closes early here) and grabbed some nibbles for dinner, little bit of bread, cheese and mags favorite beetroot salad! Never seen him to excited about beetroot before.
We arrived at the house at just gone 9pm (Swedish time!) I got given the 50 cent tour then we unloaded the car, dumped everything in the hall way! Had some dinner see photo below then unpacked! Wish we could say it was more eventful but after after a day and a half of traveling we just wanted to chill out!
So in the photo above we have, beetroot salad (guess which one that is!) Mimosa salad which is fruit and creme fresh, local fresh bread, some cheese, dill crisps and then some fafflals I brought over with me! It was a nice end to a long day!
Not sure what we will be doing on the 22nd, probably just chilling out. I might do a house tour for an update!
