New Dairy Milk Marvellous Creations : Cola Pretzel Honeycomb

I have already tried but not blogged about the last two versions of their new Marvellous Creations range, Jelly Popping Candy and Cookie Nut Crunch.  The latter being my number 1!

I knew this bar had been out for a while, so I was keeping my eyes peeled, at last it was spotted again at my local mini super market. They currently only have the large bars out, not the mini bars.

The description on the packet reads, Milk chocolate with chewy colour nuggets, pieces of salted pretzel and honeycomb. Sounds nice eh..... I'm not so sure. The proof will be in the tasting!

Like the other creations bars, it comes in irregular shaped blocks. I find this makes it harder to share as you can never break it up equally!

I wondered what the base of the bar looked like, I flipped it over and was pleasantly surprised to see that there are loads of large chunks of pretzel and honeycomb pieces.

I cut section off to see what the bar is like inside, but it does not give much away at all, you can see some bits of honeycomb in fact all you can really see is honeycomb and chocolate. Not much else.

On to the tasting, again you get the rich Cadbury's chocolate with an odd hit of cola running through, guessing the cola jelly bits have seeped flavour into the chocolate. I cannot taste any of the pretzel flavour at all, and the honeycomb adds a chewy element to the bar.

Sadly the cola parts, remind me of the cheap cola sweets, you can get. Just not that great and I don't think it should be paired with chocolate. I'm left with a weak cola aftertaste.  I only managed 2 bites of this bar before I decided enough was enough, its just not for me.

I think many people will avoid this bar, as its not your "normal" bar although having said that the Jelly Popping bar has been a massive hit, I think its down to the popping candy, everyone loves popping candy!

Would I buy it again? : No
Price : £1.50 it was on offer normally £2.50
Overall Rating : 3 out of 10
