After all the traveling we did yesterday, today was just a pure chill out day. Mag woke at about 7.30 and left me to sleep in till I think about 9.00ish....
We had a lovely breakfast downstairs, mag made me a chi latte, with banana yogurt and a nectarine. Mag decided to have a coffee, muesli and yogurt.
After breakfast we got ready, I then updated the blog and caught up with the news and stuff back home!
I took some photos of the house to show you all. I haven't taken photos of everything as I would be here all day updating the blog, its such a big house!
In the afternoon we took a short drive to Ulricehamn to get a few bits of food and dinner for later on. We went to a Lidl and to an ICA. ICA to me is very much like Publix in the states, and well Lidl is just the same as it is at home just with slightly more Swedish products!
We were going to go out for a nice walk but the clouds rolled down from the mountains and made it all foggy, then it started to rain! So we went back home had lunch and pretty much did nothing all day. Just watched TV and vegged out. To be honest I think we needed it after all the traveling turns out we did in one day over 370 miles!
We had the typical Swedish lunch, of bread, a little cheese, ham and then the beetroot salad (god that stuff is amazing) Il get a photo of lunch up at some point. Il also maybe do a video on the different types of salads they do here. Most of it comes with creme fresh!
We had dinner after watching a show about tattoos and stuff, was pretty cool but made me want to get more ink!
For dinner we had oven chips, with lasagna we have had this same brand at home but I noticed it tasted a bit different. Turns out it was pork and not beef. Made no difference to me but you could tell it tasted different. The Swedish are really big on pork. We also had a little herb bread which was very nice, I think I preferred that more than garlic bread!
Later on we decided to have a little sauna. I've not had many of these so was a little nervous but it was nice once I relaxed. I will be having a few more of these before we go home!
So on to the house tour!!
Due to the size of the house I have only taken a few photos of the rooms we are using!
Above is one of the living rooms, I call this the main one as we have turned this in to the "office" and official blog update central! As you can see mag is chilling out on the sofa wrapped up in a blanket. The room to the right is the sun room. Not been in there yet.
Above is the kitchen and where we eat all our meals. Its really nice as we can sit and look out the window while we eat.
Above are two photos of our bedroom, I tired to get a nice shot of our view. It overlooks the street and the neighbors Everything is so still and quiet here. I also keep expecting to wake up in the night and see a moose wondering down the road!!! We have unpacked all our stuff, but the bags have just been put in the corner out the way.
So that's just a little incite to the house! I might do a tour video im not sure yet.
Not sure what we are doing today (23rd). I will update that later on!
